Students Travel Award

Call for Student Travel Award Applications 

With the support from ACM SIGMM, we have funds available to support student travel to attend this conference. The decisions of the award will be based on diversity, topics, and paper quality. The awardees need to make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation, and will receive a check of $1000 (for students from US/Canada) or $1500 (for students from elsewhere). Details are provided below.

Eligibility

Potential applicants must be a full time student with a paper accepted into ICMR 2019 main conference program including special sessions, new brave ideas session, and doctoral symposium session and the student must be the main contributor to the paper.

Application Procedure

The following documents must be included into each application package, and applications must be emailed to the Award Chairs no later than April 20, 2019.

  • No more than two page long CV of the applicant
  • A statement written in a university official letterhead from the advisor of the applicant certifying that the applicant is a full time student with the a good standing in the university and is the main contributor to the paper that is accepted into ICMR 2019
  • A statement of no more than one page from the applicant justifying why the award is needed to advance the applicant’s career development
